The Iron Bridge Project in WA has appointed Thiess as the mining services provider. The company will deliver mining and maintenance services across a three-year contract, beginning in September 2022. The Iron Bridge Project is a joint venture between Fortescue Metals Group subsidiary FMG Magnetite and Formosa Steel IB.
The aim is to deliver high grade 67 per cent ferrous magnetite concentrate product in the Pilbara
Thiess executive chair Michael Wright said the company was delighted to join forces with the project.

The company will also focus on creating opportunities for Nyamal-owned businesses and employment pathways for local people.
Revenue to Thiess is expected to be more than $700 million over the first three years, with options to extend.
