Adavale Resources Reports Strong Gold Potential at London-Victoria Pit
Adavale Resources has identified major resource growth potential at its London-Victoria pit in New South Wales. Historic BHP grade control maps and new geological studies reveal significant opportunities for gold expansion across the project area.
Historical Drill Data Reveals High-Grade Gold Zones
A recent recovery and review program assessed thousands of historic drill holes from the mined pit. The study confirmed peak grades reaching 37.4 grams per tonne gold in earlier BHP grade control drilling. This data provides strong evidence of high-grade gold zones still present within the system.
Independent 3D Geological Modelling Highlights 1.5km Gold Strike
An independent study, including a detailed 3D structural model by structural geology consultant Ian E. Nelson, interpreted gold mineralisation across a 1.5-kilometre strike. The mineralisation appears controlled by an east-dipping shear and an associated anticline that define the structural setting.
Adavale reports that the folded or stacked sequence is expected to repeat at depth. The sequence also plunges to the south, which significantly expands the potential scale and long-term growth of the mineralised system.
New Insights Transform Understanding of Gold Mineralisation
Adavale managing director David Ward, who will oversee the next drilling program, says the study marks a major step forward for the project.
“Together with the recently acquired high-density grade control data, this body of work represents a step-change in our understanding of the controls on gold mineralisation,” he said.
“It has identified clear vectors for resource expansion and highlights the strong potential for additional mineralised shoots both at depth and along strike.”
Ward says these insights will “directly guide” the upcoming drilling campaign as the company works to unlock the site’s full potential.
London-Victoria Gains New Strategic Importance
Adavale executive chairman and chief executive officer Allan Ritchie says the results have reshaped the perceived scale of the project.
“We now have a clear roadmap for how this asset can grow and an incredible technical team capable of executing it,” he said.
“The opportunity ahead of us is now much larger than previously recognised.
“We are confident that David’s extensive experience and track record of success across the Lachlan Fold Belt will translate this new technical understanding into meaningful value creation.”
Recent Drilling Confirms Gold Mineralisation at Shallow Depths
These findings follow recent drilling within the Lachlan Fold Belt that reported high-grade intercepts at London-Victoria. Eleven holes confirmed gold mineralisation at shallow depths, strengthening confidence in the system’s continuity and scale.
Next Steps for Exploration and Resource Growth
Upcoming work will focus on targeted drilling to define the geometry of mineralisation. The team will test for repeated or thickened gold zones within the shear corridor. Adavale will also undertake pXRF-based geochemical logging to improve lithological and geochemical discrimination.
The company plans to integrate new structural data into updated geological and resource models. These refinements will support near-term drilling and guide future resource growth across the London-Victoria project.
