- Stay focused on the task at hand – It is easy to overlook small details – always double-check your work, procedures and equipment before commencing the next task. Speak up if something is not right or looks unsafe.
- Watch our for your Co-Workers – Look out for signs of fatigue / stress in your co-workers. A quick check-in can make a big difference. Teamwork and communication are they key to staying safe during this period, therefore it is important to make an effort with your FIFO community.
- Prioritise mental health, not just physical – Missing your loved ones during the holidays can be hard. Stay connected with them. Use the support resources available if you’re feeling the strain.
- Think about the bigger picture – Remember: staying safe now means returning home to your family and friends and the end of your roster.
